Quality Manager – Food Manufacturing

Location: Dundee, Scotland

Alexander Steele have partnered with a leading food manufacturer in the Dundee area to recruit a Quality Manager to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the site’s food safety and quality standards within a well-established and growing manufacturing business.

About the Role:

As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for leading the site’s quality agenda, ensuring full compliance with BRC, food safety, and customer standards. You will manage and develop the quality team, drive continuous improvement, and support cross-functional collaboration across production, technical, and NPD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and develop the site’s food safety and quality management systems
• Ensure compliance with BRC Global Standard for Food Safety and customer requirements
• Lead and prepare for internal, external, and third-party audits
• Manage and update HACCP and TACCP plans
• Monitor and improve product quality through effective root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Build a strong quality culture across the site
• Train, develop, and manage the quality team

What We're Looking For:

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline
• HACCP Level 3 certified (minimum)
• Strong knowledge of BRC and food safety standards
• Experience with TACCP and food defence principles
• Proven track record in a quality or technical role within food manufacturing
• Confident communicator with strong leadership and organisational skills
