Job summary

Fawkes & Reece is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality on a flagship construction scheme in Cardiff. You will drive the project’s quality strategy, ensure works meet specifications, drawings and industry standards, and lead quality-related decisions from construction through to handover.

We’re currently looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join a leading Tier 1 contractor on a flagship construction scheme.

This is a key role within a high-profile project, working alongside an established project team and taking responsibility for maintaining the highest standards of quality throughout delivery.

The Role

As Quality Assurance Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and driving the project’s quality strategy, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with project requirements, specifications, drawings and relevant industry standards.

You’ll work closely with the project management, engineering and delivery teams, providing guidance and leadership on all quality-related matters from construction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and management of the project Quality Management Plan.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings and approved procedures.
• Manage inspections, testing, ITPs and quality documentation.
• Identify and manage defects, non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Work closely with site teams and supply chain partners to maintain consistent quality standards.
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive quality records are maintained throughout the project.
• Support audits, inspections and handover requirements.
• Promote a strong culture of quality across the project team and wider supply chain.
• Provide regular reporting and assurance to senior project management.

About You

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in construction quality management, ideally gained within a Tier 1 contractor environment.

• Proven experience as a Quality Manager / Quality Assurance Manager within the construction or build industry.
• Experience working for, or closely alongside, a Tier 1 main contractor.
• Strong understanding of construction quality management, inspection and assurance processes.
• Practical experience using Dalux is essential or similar including FieldView or Procure.
• Experience managing quality across a large-scale or complex construction project.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant construction/quality qualifications are desirable.
