Job summary

Pets Choice Ltd is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control professional to ensure raw materials and finished products meet specifications and quality standards. You will lead investigations, generate reports, and drive continuous improvements across the Quality Systems.

You will guide production staff, manage non-conformances, support site audits, and provide monthly KPI insights to reduce waste and improve product quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Promotes safe working practices.
• Experienced in using Microsoft Office.
• Highly self-motivated, results-driven and tenacious, with a strong ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Extremely organised and logical, with the ability to develop new procedures.
• Strong communication skills, including a coaching approach and the ability to train others.
• A positive team player with the ability to lead, inspire and influence others.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain graphs for material testing and report trends.
• Raise concession, deviation, non-conformance or quarantine when out of spec; investigate root cause and preventive action.
• Guide production staff on quality, SOP changes; assist on production check board and lead quality section.
• Investigate customer complaints and propose corrective actions.
• Report status of Quarantine Area and actions to reduce pallets.
• Liaise with Engineering on faults.
• Maintain and create internal specifications.
• Provide support during site audits.
• Generate monthly KPI reports and improvement suggestions.
• Authority to stop the line if product quality fails.
• Raise non-conformance reports and follow up with supplier corrections.
• Track labour costs for fails and report outcomes.
• Monitor pick locations in stock areas to ensure correct matching and labeling.
• Clear/ dispose of short-dated or obsolete stock.
