Job summary

Pure Pet Food in Cleckheaton is hiring a QA professional to join the compliance team, focused on food safety, quality and hygiene across our UK production and fulfilment sites.

As part of the Head of Compliance, you'll uphold SALSA standards, run internal audits, monitor CCPs and support root-cause analysis, with a culture of continuous improvement and staff training.

You'll also travel to other sites on ad hoc basis to support quality initiatives and training across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience within a food production environment.
• Food safety and/or HACCP qualification.
• Full UK driving licence (visit other sites adhoc).

Responsibilities

• Maintain Quality Management System and SALSA compliance.
• Audit GMP, hygiene, CCPs and quality systems; report findings.
• Work with Shift Managers to identify issues and implement solutions.
• Monitor raw materials, packaging and finished products quality.
• Complete production records in real time; monitor CCPs.
• Carry out environmental monitoring and QA testing.
• Investigate defects and customer complaints; support root-cause analysis.
• Monitor quarantined products and controls in system and physical space.
• Review hygiene and housekeeping; promote Clean as You Go culture.
• Inspect production areas, machinery and processes for safety and quality.
• Support external audits, pest control, and corrective actions.
• Assist training and induction on quality and hygiene requirements.
• Communicate with Operations and Management to drive compliance.
