Quality Engineering Lab Manager | Peterborough
A forward-thinking advanced materials manufacturer is seeking a Quality Engineering Lab Manager to lead quality operations within its production and testing environment.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of the lab and factory floor — ideal for someone who thrives on solving problems, improving systems, and ensuring products meet the highest standards before reaching customers.

What you’ll be doing:

• Oversee day-to-day quality testing processes in a fast-paced manufacturing lab.
• Act as the first point of contact when test results or product performance fall outside expected parameters.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions, working closely with production, engineering, and technical teams.
• Maintain and improve lab procedures, test methods, and quality documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement in lab-based quality systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong background in quality engineering, ideally within a lab or manufacturing environment.
• Experience troubleshooting issues in test/inspection processes.
• Comfortable engaging with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality frameworks.
• A practical, analytical mindset with excellent communication skills.
