Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer for a major construction project in Exeter. The role focuses on managing quality across groundworks and civil works, ensuring conformance with drawings, specs and ITP requirements.

The ideal candidate will have proven QA/QC experience in civil engineering, strong documentation skills, and the ability to coordinate with site teams to maintain high standards on a busy project.

Qualifications

• Previous QA/Quality Engineering experience within construction or civil engineering.
• Strong groundworks and reinforced concrete experience.
• Good understanding of foundations, slabs and drainage.
• Experience producing and managing ITPs and quality records.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain project QA/QC procedures.
• Prepare and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Complete and maintain quality records and inspection documentation.
• Carry out inspections of works against drawings, specifications and ITP requirements.
• Manage concrete records, pour documentation and associated quality checks.
• Monitor drainage, foundations, reinforcement and slab installations.
• Raise, manage and close out NCRs.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Site Management and subcontractors.
• Ensure works comply with project specifications, drawings and relevant standards.
• Compile handover and quality assurance documentation.
• Maintain accurate records throughout the project.

QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER – EXETER

Location: Exeter, Devon | Sector: Civil Engineering / Groundworks | Start: Immediate / ASAP | Competitive Rate – Depending on Experience

We are currently looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join a major construction project in Exeter. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining quality standards across the groundworks and civil engineering package.

Scope of works includes:

• Groundworks
• Reinforced concrete slabs
• Foundations
• Drainage and underground services
• Concrete works
• Excavations and backfilling
• Associated civil engineering works

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain project QA/QC procedures
• Prepare and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
• Complete and maintain quality records and inspection documentation
• Carry out inspections of works against drawings, specifications and ITP requirements
• Manage concrete records, pour documentation and associated quality checks
