Industrialconnected in Weymouth, Dorset, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support quality improvement, compliance, and continuous improvement activities in a precision engineering environment.

You will investigate non-conformances, lead root cause analyses, and maintain quality records while working cross-functionally to enhance overall quality performance and participate in internal and external audits.

Qualifications

• Experience in precision engineering, machining or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure.
• Collaborative approach to cross-department work.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or quality management systems.
• Experience with 8D, DMAIC, 5 Whys or Ishikawa problem-solving methods.

Responsibilities

• Investigate non-conformances and shop-floor quality issues.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured problem-solving.
• Support continuous improvement projects to reduce Cost of Poor Quality.
• Create and maintain customer documentation packs and quality records.
• Support maintenance and improvement of the Integrated Management System.
• Conduct internal audits and support external audits.
• Manage corrective actions, change notes, and customer complaint investigations.
• Work cross-functionally to improve overall quality performance.
