The Role: Quality Assurance Engineer

You will start working within the Quality Assurance Department, supporting and developing the quality management systems under the guidance of the Quality Manager.

The role involves managing activities across all LMT production units, including Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), Non-Conformance Management, product release, calibration, and internal audits.

You will ensure documentation is maintained accurately and complete or assign actions as directed. Knowledge of product release processes and ERP systems like SAP is essential.

Preferred qualifications include experience with ISO9001:2015, IATF16949:2016, ISO13485:2015, EN91000 REV D, reviewing engineering drawings, and metal machining techniques.

You may also be involved in maintaining QMS documents, working closely with Operations, and conducting supplier audits, with responsibilities tracked in the CAPA database.

Daily tasks include managing tracking databases, generating reports, and data entry into Microsoft Office.

Main responsibilities:
  • Ensuring safety and compliance with HSE requirements
  • Collaborating with Quality, Compliance, and Materials QC Departments
  • Managing SAP QM, CAPA, internal audits, and concessions
  • Conducting internal and external supplier audits
  • Using intranet and SharePoint systems
  • Liaising with Quality Managers and external parties
  • Supporting operational and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Performing additional duties as required
Qualifications and skills needed:
  • Diploma in Engineering, Operations, Material Science, Chemistry, or related field, or equivalent
  • Experience with QMS and ISO 9001
  • Knowledge of QA tools and MS Office, especially Excel
  • Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, utilizing QA tools and CAPA methodologies

This is a permanent position based in Swinton, Greater Manchester, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to meet business needs. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent teamwork and accountability, influencing colleagues across departments.
