Job summary

Johnson Matthey in Royston is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support conformance to internal QMS and drive audits in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

You will implement corrective actions, perform ISO9001 audits and use 5 Whys and root cause analysis to sustain quality procedures. The role offers hybrid working and a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have working experience with ISO9001 systems and as a Quality Technician or Engineer.
• ISO 9001 Quality Auditor training.
• A technical qualification (likely IQA, or 6 sigma green belt).
• Experience of working in a production environment, preferably from a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive culture where conformance to the internal QMS is sustained.
• Manage the Internal Audit schedule and assign Internal Audits and Corrective Actions.
• Ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented and conformance sustained.
• Carry out internal audits against ISO9001, and where required IATF16949 or ISO17025.
• Implement and assist areas with the use of Quality tools like 5Whys and root cause analysis.
• Champion conformance to Standard work, Process instruction and Quality Procedures.
• Ensure Quality Improvements are documented within the relevant procedures/work instructions.

The role:
