Job summary

A major consumer goods business in London seeks a contract QA Engineer to consolidate testing across the estate and set quality standards early in the programme.

You'll design and execute manual and automated tests for web, API and data layers, using Selenium, Playwright or Cypress, and work with stakeholders across a lean, evolving team in a hybrid London setup.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and executing manual and automated tests for web/API/data layers.
• Familiar with Selenium, Playwright or Cypress.
• Ability to identify gaps in coverage with limited documentation.
• Comfort working autonomously in an unstructured environment.
• Experience in retail/consumer sector is advantageous.

QA Engineer: Contract | Up to £500/day outside IR35 | Hybrid, London | 6 months initial

A major consumer goods business is seeking a contract QA Engineer. The programme is consolidating a fragmented estate and standardising how things are done across the group. It's early days, the team is lean and the structure is still being shaped.

As a QA Engineer, you'd be building out testing coverage across newly developed and migrated systems, making sure quality standards are established early as new processes and platforms come online.

It's hands-on, with plenty of scope to help define how testing is done across the wider programme.

As a contract QA Engineer you'll be competent in:

• Designing and executing manual and automated test cases across web/API/data layers
• Working with test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, Cypress)
• Identifying gaps in coverage across systems with limited existing documentation
• Working autonomously in an unstructured environment with limited process in place
• Communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working within a retail/consumer business is an excellent advantage.
