Job summary

Talent is seeking an experienced QE Architect to lead Quality Engineering strategy across a large-scale technology transformation in York, with 3 days on-site per week under a 12-month contract. You will define and govern QE architecture, drive automation-first and shift-left testing, design scalable frameworks across UI, API, data, integration, and AI testing, and mentor QE leads and engineers.

This role is Inside IR35 and requires strong agile, DevOps experience and a track record of

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Quality Engineering, Software Engineering or Test Automation.
• 5+ years at QE Architect, Principal QE or Enterprise QE Lead level.
• Experience designing and scaling enterprise automation frameworks.
• Strong Agile, Product-led and DevOps experience.
• Experience with TDD, BDD and Continuous Testing.
• Financial Services, Insurance or another highly regulated environment would be advantageous.
