Job summary

True North Consulting Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to drive test automation for data pipelines, ETL processes, and cloud platforms. You will develop data validation routines and maintain robust test data across large datasets.

Responsibilities include implementing Python-based tests, employing BDD/TDD approaches, and collaborating on CI/CD with AWS/Azure and Kafka tech, all within an Inside IR35 hybrid London/Manchester setup.

Qualifications

• Experience in test automation for data and ETL processes.
• Proficient in data validation with large datasets.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills.
• Hands-on Python and pytest experience.
• Knowledge of ETL, data warehousing and PySpark or similar.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Familiarity with Kafka or other data streaming tech.
• Understanding of CI/CD and version control.
• Contributing to test automation frameworks.
• Active SC clearance is essential.

We are looking for an experiencedTest Engineerwith a strong focus ontest automation and data validationto support data and cloud transformation programmes.

You’ll help design, develop and improve automated testing solutions, ensuring data quality, reliability and alignment with delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities
