Job summary

Talent is seeking a Software Test Engineer with SC clearance eligibility for a hybrid/remote contract in the UK, near Manchester or Newcastle. The role focuses on building and maintaining automated test frameworks and suites for high-impact government projects.

The ideal candidate works with Java 11/17/21 and Spring Boot, plus Cucumber, REST Assured, WireMock and Selenium, inside a Docker-based test infra. Occasional travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in public sector or security-cleared environments preferred.
• SC Clearance eligibility required or capable of obtaining.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and suites.
• Conduct comprehensive functional and non-functional testing across services.
• Perform API and microservice testing with CI/CD integration.
• Collaborate in a hybrid/remote team and travel to client sites as required.

Software Test Engineer - SC Cleared.

Hybrid/Remote. (Manchester/Newcastle)

£450 per day, Inside IR35.

£440.00 - £450.00 / day

We're seeking an Automation Test Engineer to join a high-impact programme within a public sector organisation. This contract role is ideal for someone who excels in Building and delivering comprehensive, robust, and reliable automated test frameworks and automation suites in Government or security-cleared environments.

You will need to travel occasionally to the Client site in either Newcastle or Manchester. So must be based near to either area to be considered.
