Job summary

Qualifications

• Good IT and communication skills.
• Desirable: ISO 9001 knowledge and CI tools.

Responsibilities

• Quality inspections: first-off, in-process and final checks.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform dimensional checks using verniers, micrometers, height gauges.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation.
• Support non-conformance investigations and corrective actions.
• Assist with internal audits and process checks.
• Liaise with production and engineering on quality issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and root cause analysis.

QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY

PAY: £15.00 per hour (increases with training)

HOURS: Mon-Thu: 07:30-16:30 & Fri: 07:30-12:00

The Role

We are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Technician to support inspections, quality checks and documentation across our clients Lichfield site. You will ensure products meet customer and internal standards while working closely with production and engineering teams.

• Engineering drawings: interpret drawings and specifications
• Dimensional checks using verniers, micrometers, height gauges
• Maintain accurate quality documentation
• Support non‑conformance investigations and corrective actions
• Assist with internal audits and process checks
• Liaise with production and engineering on quality issues
• Contribute to continuous improvement and root cause analysis

What You Need

• Experience as a QA/Quality Technician or Inspector
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Skilled with measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Good IT and documentation skills
• Confident communicator, organised, team‑focused
• Desirable: ISO 9001 knowledge, internal auditing, fabrication/welding/machining experience, CI tools, CMM knowledge.
