Job summary

Salford City Council is seeking a Quality and Compliance Officer within Adult Social Care Provider Services to promote a culture of quality, safety and continuous improvement across services.

You will provide assurances that services meet legislative requirements and quality standards, undertake audits and safeguarding investigations, and work with staff to embed learning and service improvements in line with the council's plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and social care settings.
• Comprehensive knowledge of adult social care legislation and regulations.
• Good understanding of CQC regulatory frameworks and quality standards.
• Experience of quality reviews, safeguarding investigations and audits.
• Ability to apply strategic thinking and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As a Quality and Compliance Officer within Adult Social Care Provider Services, you will be responsible for promoting and embedding a culture of quality, safety, continuous improvement and regulatory compliance across Provider Services. You will provide assurances that services are delivered in accordance with legislative requirements, organisational policies, quality standards and best practice guidance.

You will join an experienced team, with a clear vision to provide exemplary care and support, while supporting service growth in line with the council’s Market Position Statement and Adult Social Care Improvement Plan. You will support innovative practice, promote positive change and enhance quality of care. Learning will be proactively shared to direct and support service improvement.

About You

We're looking for people who share our values and are passionate about supporting others.

You will:

• Have experience of working within the health and social care sector, with particular experience and knowledge of services supporting vulnerable adults.
• You will have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of adult social care legislation, regulations and best practice.
• Good understanding of CQC regulatory frameworks and quality standards
• Experience of undertaking quality reviews, safeguarding enquiries and investigations.
• Apply strategic thinking to broaden learning and embed new approaches that improve quality across a range of services
• Undertake audits, inspections of services.
• Be responsive to and supportive of staff and services where quality concerns are highlighted and service improvements needed.
• Have a caring and person-centred approach
• Be able to build positive and respectful relationships
• Communicate effectively with a wide range of people
• Work well as part of a team and independently
• Be flexible in your approach to working patterns and service needs

• Enhanced DBS Disclosure is required for our support worker roles.
