Job summary

VolkerStevin, part of VolkerWessels UK, is seeking a Quality Advisor to drive quality across multiple North West water/infrastructure projects within the C2V Joint Venture delivering United Utilities' AMP8 programme. You will provide independent assurance, guidance to site teams, and support audits to ensure first-time quality and continuous improvement.

You will influence quality strategy, promote best practices, and help embed quality across alliance partners while supporting investigations

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure or related sectors.
• Knowledge of quality management systems, auditing and assurance processes.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Ability to influence, challenge and support teams at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent assurance and guidance across live projects and sites to deliver right first time.
• Support quality planning activities, readiness reviews and handover processes.

We're looking for a proactive and influential Quality Advisor who thrives on collaboration, problem-solving, and driving excellence. This is an opportunity to work across multiple projects, influence positive change, and help create a culture where quality is at the heart of everything we do.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Quality Advisor, you'll provide independent assurance and expert guidance across live projects and operational sites, helping teams deliver right first time and continually improve performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

Driving Quality & Compliance

• Planning and undertaking quality audits, inspections, and reviews across multiple projects.
• Providing independent assurance against C2V, VolkerStevin, and United Utilities quality requirements.
• Supporting internal, client, and third-party audits.
• Producing clear reports on findings, compliance performance, trends, and risks.
• Identifying recurring issues and helping develop solutions that improve performance across the programme.

Supporting Project Teams

• Providing practical quality advice and guidance to site and project teams.
• Supporting quality planning activities, readiness reviews, and handover processes.
• Helping teams overcome quality challenges and implement effective improvement actions.
• Contributing to lessons learned initiatives and continuous improvement programmes.

Influencing Quality Strategy

• Promoting a positive quality culture across the Alliance.
• Supporting the development of consistent quality standards and best practice.
• Working collaboratively with partners to embed quality expectations and drive performance.

Improving Performance

• Supporting investigations into quality non-conformances.
• Applying root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying issues.
• Challenging and guiding teams to implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
• Identifying trends and turning lessons learned into meaningful improvements.

What We're Looking For

You’ll be a confident communicator with a passion for quality and continuous improvement, capable of building strong relationships across project teams and stakeholders.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience within construction, civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure, or a related sector.
• Knowledge of quality management systems, auditing, and assurance processes.
• An understanding of quality standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• The ability to influence, challenge, and support teams at all levels.
• A collaborative approach with a genuine desire to improve performance and outcomes.
