Job summary

VolkerWessels UK Ltd in the North West is seeking a proactive Quality Advisor to support the C2V Joint Venture delivering United Utilities' AMP8 programme. You will provide independent assurance across live projects and operational sites, helping teams achieve right-first-time quality.

You will drive audits, compliance, and reporting, influence quality strategy, and mentor project teams to embed best practice.

Qualifications

  • Experience within construction, civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure, or a related sector.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, auditing, and assurance processes.
  • Understanding of quality standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Ability to influence, challenge, and support teams at all levels.
  • Collaborative approach with a genuine desire to improve performance and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and undertaking quality audits, inspections, and reviews across multiple projects.
  • Providing independent assurance against quality requirements.
  • Supporting internal, client, and third-party audits.
  • Producing clear reports on findings, compliance performance, trends and risks.
  • Identifying recurring issues and helping develop solutions that improve performance across the programme.
  • Providing practical quality advice and guidance to site and project teams.
  • Supporting quality planning activities, readiness reviews and handover processes.
  • Helping teams overcome quality challenges and implement effective improvement actions.
  • Contributing to lessons learned initiatives and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Promoting a positive quality culture across the Alliance.
  • Supporting the development of consistent quality standards and best practice.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Quality Advisor, you'll provide independent assurance and expert guidance across live projects and operational sites, helping teams deliver right first time and continually improve performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

Driving Quality & Compliance
  • Planning and undertaking quality audits, inspections, and reviews across multiple projects.
  • Providing independent assurance against C2V, VolkerStevin, and United Utilities quality requirements.
  • Supporting internal, client, and third-party audits.
  • Producing clear reports on findings, compliance performance, trends, and risks.
  • Identifying recurring issues and helping develop solutions that improve performance across the programme.
Supporting Project Teams
  • Providing practical quality advice and guidance to site and project teams.
  • Supporting quality planning activities, readiness reviews, and handover processes.
  • Helping teams overcome quality challenges and implement effective improvement actions.
  • Contributing to lessons learned initiatives and continuous improvement programmes.
Influencing Quality Strategy
  • Promoting a positive quality culture across the Alliance.
  • Supporting the development of consistent quality standards and best practice.
  • Working collaboratively with partners to embed quality expectations and drive performance.
Improving Performance
  • Supporting investigations into quality non-conformances.
  • Applying root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying issues.
  • Challenging and guiding teams to implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Identifying trends and turning lessons learned into meaningful improvements.
