Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a Quality Advisor to work with the Energy Team on the National Grid, HWUP Project. The role focuses on upholding the Quality – Right First Time ethos and supporting site teams to meet Quality Plans and contractual requirements.

You’ll carry out audits, promote nonconformance reporting, and drive improvements across projects in the energy sector. A CQI membership is desirable, and a strong track record in quality roles is expected.

Responsibilities

• Champion the Quality – Right First Time initiative.
• Establish and promote best practice in quality matters with the Quality function.
• Support site management to ensure compliance with Quality Plans.
• Carry out regular inspections/audits to verify policy adherence.
• Promote reporting of nonconformances and advise on corrective actions.
• Review Quality statistics and identify trends for improvement.
• Develop and implement Quality campaigns and improvement plans.
• Produce Quality plans and procedures and ensure contract compliance.
• Maintain records to ensure compliance with procedures and contract requirements.

A day in the life of a Murphy Quality Advisor:

• Be a champion for the “Quality – Right First Time” initiative.
• Establish and promote best practice in quality matters in conjunction with the Quality function.
• Support site management teams to ensure compliance with all requirements stipulated in the Quality Plans.
• Carry out regular inspections/audits of sites and work places to find whether work is being carried out in accordance with Company Policy, Procedures and other stated requirements.
• Promote the reporting of nonconformances and provide advice on closing out actions.
• Collate and review Business / Contract Quality statistics in a timely manner and submit to the Quality Management and Quality function for reporting purposes.
• Review Quality statistics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement Quality campaigns and improvement plans in agreement with the Quality Management.
• Provide support to Project teams in the development of Quality Plans.
• Produce Quality plans, procedures and associated documentation and check compliance.
• Maintain records as necessary to ensure compliance with Company procedures and Contract Requirements
