Job summary

Murphy is seeking a Quality Advisor to work on the Western Isles HVDC LT14 project at Banniskirk Substation. You will champion the Quality – Right First Time initiative and support site teams to ensure compliance with Quality Plans and contract requirements.

The role involves conducting audits, promoting nonconformance reporting, and developing Quality campaigns with the Quality function, to drive continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Quality role or similar is required.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and promote best practice in quality matters with the Quality function.
  • Support site management teams to ensure compliance with Quality Plans and requirements.
  • Carry out regular inspections and audits to verify work complies with Company Policy and Procedures.
  • Promote reporting of nonconformances and advise on closing out actions.
  • Collate and review Quality statistics and report to Quality Management.
  • Review Quality statistics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement Quality campaigns and improvement plans.
  • Provide support to Project teams in developing Quality Plans.
  • Produce Quality procedures and documentation and ensure compliance.
  • Maintain records to ensure compliance with procedures and Contract Requirements.
  • Experience within a Quality role or similar.

A day in the life of a Murphy Quality Advisor
  • Be a champion for the “Quality – Right First Time” initiative.
  • Establish and promote best practice in quality matters in conjunction with the Quality function.
  • Support site management teams to ensure compliance with all requirements stipulated in the Quality Plans.
  • Carry out regular inspections/audits of sites and work places to find whether work is being carried out in accordance with Company Policy, Procedures and other stated requirements.
  • Promote the reporting of nonconformances and provide advice on closing out actions.
  • Collate and review Business / Contract Quality statistics in a timely manner and submit to the Quality Management and Quality function for reporting purposes.
  • Review Quality statistics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement Quality campaigns and improvement plans in agreement with the Quality Management.
  • Provide support to Project teams in the development of Quality Plans.
  • Produce Quality plans, procedures and associated documentation and check compliance.
  • Maintain records as necessary to ensure compliance with Company procedures and Contract Requirements
  • Experience within a Quality role or a similar role.
