Job summary

Hartwell Reading is seeking a Service Technician to join our dealership in Reading, representing BYD and Ford. You will work under the Service Manager to meet franchise and company standards in a busy service environment.

The ideal candidate has NVQ level 3, MOT tester status, and at least two years in a franchise dealership, with strong customer service skills and the ability to take responsibility for quality and output.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent required.
• MOT tester qualification preferred.
• At least 2 years in a Franchise Dealership.

Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance, service and repair to high standards within scheduled times.
• Repair, test and diagnose vehicle faults as directed by Service Manager.
• Replace components and record usage accurately.
• Keep work areas clean, organised and safe.
• Complete tasks within manufacturers’ servicing times.
• Report on faults and future servicing needs while on vehicles.
