Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a Qualified Teaching Assistant to work in the NE15 area of Newcastle upon Tyne. The role offers daily rates of £90-£120 and a full-time, long-term, and flexible opportunity with immediate/ongoing start dates.

Candidates must hold Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualifications or equivalent and have experience supporting children in schools. You will work 1:1 and in small groups, supporting literacy and numeracy and SEND learners, in a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent.
• Experience working with children within a school or educational setting.
• Confident providing both 1:1 and small-group support.
• Strong communication and behaviour-management skills.
• Patient, reliable, adaptable and proactive.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with the delivery of engaging learning activities.

• Help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
• Deliver targeted interventions where required.

• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff.
• Maintain a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.

GSL Education is currently recruiting Qualified Teaching Assistants to work across our partner schools in the NE15 area of Newcastle upon Tyne.

We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting children with their learning and development.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or a relevant equivalent qualification.

The Role

As a Qualified Teaching Assistant, you will:

Experience supporting pupils with SEND, ASD, ADHD, SEMH or challenging behaviour would be particularly beneficial.
