Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Qualified Teacher to cover roles across Rhondda Cynon Taf and surrounding areas. The position offers flexible daily supply, short-term, long-term and ongoing opportunities in local primary, secondary or specialist settings.

Deliver engaging lessons, follow school plans or create suitable materials, manage diverse pupil needs, and maintain high safeguarding standards. A Qualified Teacher Status and classroom experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Previous classroom teaching experience.
• Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Following existing lesson plans or preparing suitable teaching materials.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively.
• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress.
• Supporting pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
• Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff.
• Providing feedback and completing necessary handover notes.
• Following school safeguarding policies and procedures.

We are recruiting confident, adaptable and enthusiastic Qualified Teachers to work across schools throughout RCT, including Pontypridd, Aberdare, Mountain Ash, Tonypandy, Porth, Treorchy, Ferndale, Tylorstown, Llantrisant, Talbot Green, Tonyrefail, Church Village and Beddau.

We have opportunities available for teachers seeking flexible daily supply work, short-term cover, long-term placements or ongoing school-based roles. Whether you are an experienced teacher, a newly qualified teacher or returning to education, we would be interested in hearing from you.
