Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Strong basic education to degree level.
• Previous successful teaching experience.
• Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
• Experience of behaviour management techniques.
• Committed to professional development and willing to learn.
• Willing to undergo Enhanced DBS check before starting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the national curriculum while meeting SEMH needs.
• Support the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviours.
• Report on pupils’ progress and liaise with staff to meet pupils’ needs.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extracurricular activities and trips.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage interactive, positive learning outcomes.
