TeacherActive is working with a welcoming specialist school in Bridgwater to recruit a SEND Teacher for ages 4–19, with Autism/ASD as the primary need. This full-time, permanent role begins from October half term in a modern setting with on-site facilities and supportive staff.

You will adapt teaching to individual needs, support learning and independence, and contribute to a caring, collaborative school day.

Qualificações

• Experience teaching or supporting children with additional needs, especially Autism/ASD.
• Ability to work with a wide age range from 4 to 19.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming specialist school in Bridgwater, supporting children and young people aged 4 to 19, with Autism / ASD being the primary need. The school offers a fantastic modern environment, including a swimming pool, sensory rooms, trampoline room, soft play room and on-site parking, as well as goats and a sheep which pupils can interact with as part of their learning and development.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teacher on a full-time, permanent basis from October half term. The successful SEND Teacher will support pupils across different age groups, adapting teaching to individual needs while encouraging learning, development, independence and engagement throughout the school day.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• Experience teaching or supporting children and young people with additional needs, particularly Autism / ASD
• Confidence working with pupils across a wide age range from 4 to 19
• Strong classroom management and the ability to adapt teaching to individual needs
• A patient, caring and supportive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
