Job summary

3D Recruit is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join Children’s Services teams in Hertfordshire on a locum basis. You will use your assessment skills and professional judgement to understand family circumstances, identify risks and develop safety plans that support children’s wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Social Work degree or equivalent qualification.
• Current SWE registration is required.
• Minimum 3 years' post-qualifying experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK children's social care legislation and practice.
• Experience managing complex children's social care cases.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking child and family assessments to identify needs, strengths and risks.
• Managing a varied caseload and prioritising safeguarding needs.
• Working directly with children and young people to understand their wishes and feelings.
• Developing plans with families and partner agencies to achieve outcomes.
• Monitoring progress and reviewing plans when circumstances change.
• Identifying and escalating safeguarding concerns through appropriate channels.
• Attending multi-agency meetings and contributing professional recommendations.
• Producing timely assessments, case notes and reports.
• Working in accordance with statutory requirements, professional standards and local procedures.

The Role

What We're Looking For
