Qualified Social Worker: Children Looked After

Location: West Yorkshire

Pay rate: £35 per hour

We are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join our dedicated Children Looked After Team in West Yorkshire. In this role, you will work in a busy, supportive team assessing and working with children and families, intervening where children need support to provide help at an earlier stage. You will work in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, supporting the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services.

Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Your excellent communication skills will help establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to ensure services meet identified needs.

You will be committed to achieving positive and sustainable outcomes for children, striving to provide the best possible results and supporting children and families to thrive and flourish. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and operate efficiently.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Experience working with children and families, including vulnerable groups
• Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking approach
• Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and issues
• Continuous improvement mindset to enhance outcomes for children
• Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with children and families
• High-quality service commitment
• Experience in multi-disciplinary, interagency work
• 4+ years qualified experience

• Manage an agreed caseload
• Use specialist communication skills to achieve optimal outcomes
