Pay rate: £35 per hour

Are you an experienced and passionate Social Worker looking for career progression? Pertemps Professional Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join a Safeguarding Team in Greater Manchester. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of social work practice in a Family Safeguarding Team and be registered with Social Work England. Upholding best practice is essential in all your duties.

In this role, you will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services, working in accordance with legislation and local government requirements. Your professional judgment will be key in making assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Using your social work expertise and communication skills, you will establish relationships with service users and agencies to meet their needs.

You will be dedicated to achieving positive, sustainable outcomes for children, with a passion for supporting children and families to thrive. Our priority is to protect the vulnerable and operate efficiently.

Ideal candidate profile:

• Registered Social Worker with Social Work England
• Experience with Children Looked After
• Experience working with children and families, including vulnerable groups
• Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking approach
• Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and issues
• Commitment to continuous improvement for children's outcomes
• Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with children and families
• High-quality service commitment
• Experience working in multidisciplinary, interagency settings
• Valid driving license
• At least 4 years qualified

Key responsibilities:

• Assess risks, protection, and social care needs
• Manage caseloads
• Use communication skills to achieve outcomes
• Develop individual care plans respecting diversity and dignity
