An established industry player is seeking a passionate Qualified Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Team in West Yorkshire. This role involves assessing and supporting children and families in need, ensuring positive outcomes through effective intervention and collaboration with various agencies. Safeguarding
Location: West Yorkshire
Pay rate: £35 per hour
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join a dedicated Safeguarding Team. As part of the Safeguarding team, you will work in a busy and supportive environment assessing and working with children and families, intervening where children need support to provide earlier help. Responsibilities include carrying out Section 47 Enquiries, progressing cases to Initial Safeguarding Conferences, and working with children in need while planning for permanence from day one. You will conduct assessment work directly with children and their families and partner with agencies including the police and health to ensure the best outcomes and sustainable positive change.
The service maintains a strong link with our Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to promote community support when social care involvement is no longer necessary.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, informed by social care values and principles, you will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Applying your significant Social Work experience and excellent communication skills, you will establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to meet identified needs.
