We are looking for an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join a dedicated Safeguarding team. As part of the Safeguarding team, you will work in a busy and supportive environment where you assess and work with children and families, intervening early to provide support. Responsibilities include conducting Section 47 Enquiries, progressing cases to Initial Safeguarding Conferences, and handling children in need cases, all while planning for permanence from day one. You will perform assessment work directly with children and their families and collaborate with agencies such as the police and health services to achieve the best outcomes, fostering sustainable positive change. The service maintains a strong link with our Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to promote community support when social care intervention is no longer required.
Operating in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, and guided by the values and principles of social care, you will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions regarding appropriate interventions. Your excellent communication skills and significant social work experience will enable you to establish and maintain relationships with service users and partner agencies to ensure services meet the identified needs.
You will be committed to ensuring positive and sustainable outcomes through your interventions. Striving for best practices, you aim to provide the best results for children. Most importantly, you will have a passion for supporting children and families to thrive and flourish. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and to operate efficiently.
