Veritas Education is seeking a Qualified SEN Supply Teacher to cover lessons across a range of year groups in SEN settings. You will deliver engaging lessons that build academic progress and life skills, promoting confidence and independence for pupils with diverse needs.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, experience in SEN, strong behaviour management and DBS clearance. You will work across the West Yorkshire area with supportive staff and CPD opportunities.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of SEN education.
• Enhance DBS check is mandatory.

Title: Qualified SEN Supply Teacher

The Role : As a Supply Sen Teacher you will be responsible for covering and delivering engaging lessons that support both academic development and wider life skills. Our SEN schools place a strong emphasis on creative and adaptable learning, giving pupils opportunities to develop their education in alternate ways, build confidence and independence.

You will work across a range of year groups, supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including:

• Autism
• Complex physical and medical needs
• Communication and learning difficulties
• Challenging behaviour
• A range of additional and individual needs

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, cover and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Adapt teaching and learning to meet the individual needs and abilities of pupils.
• Teach across a range of age groups, abilities and SEN profiles.
• Encourage creativity, imagination and participation within lessons.
• Implement appropriate behaviour management and support strategies.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly.

Requirements

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Previous experience teaching within an SEN or specialist setting.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of SEN education.
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism, complex needs and/or challenging behaviour
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is mandatory. (We can help advise on this)
