Job summary

TeacherActive is helping a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Merthyr Tydfil to appoint a dedicated Maths Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. You will plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, monitor progress and support students of varying abilities.

The ideal candidate has QTS with Maths, strong classroom management, and excellent communication and organisational skills. This role offers market-leading pay and a supportive consultant team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a Maths specialism is required.
• Experience teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 is essential.
• Strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum and classroom management.

Responsibilities

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Maths Teacher on a full-time, long-term temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Maths Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, assessing student progress, managing classroom behaviour and supporting students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential.

The successful Maths Teacher will have:

Qualified Teacher Status / QTS with a Maths specialism (NQTs are welcome to apply)

Experience teaching Maths across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4

Strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

Strong communication and organisational skills

A confident, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
