Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher for a long-term role in Torbay starting January 2027.

You will plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across the secondary age range, maintain excellent classroom management, and support students to make strong academic progress.

The ideal candidate holds QTS with Maths (ECTs considered), has secondary maths teaching experience, and demonstrates strong communication and organisational skills.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Maths Teacher on a long-term basis from January 2027. The successful Maths Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons across the secondary age range, while maintaining excellent classroom management and supporting students to make strong academic progress.

The successful Maths Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Maths specialism (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)


• Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school


• Sound knowledge of the secondary Maths curriculum


• Excellent classroom management


• Strong communication and organisational skills


• A positive and adaptable approach to teaching
