Job summary

Pure Resourcing Solutions Limited is seeking a Qualified Management Accountant to join our growing business in Stowmarket. You will own the month-end management accounting process, provide insight to senior stakeholders and drive business performance.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting and reporting, manage a small finance team, and ensure robust financial controls. This role offers hybrid working and strong career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified with ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience delivering management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Proven ability to analyse large datasets and present insights.
• Solid understanding of financial controls, reconciliations and audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end management accounting process for designated business areas.
• Deliver accurate and timely management accounts, financial analysis and reporting.
• Analyse revenue, costs and margins, identifying trends and explaining variances against budget and forecast.
• Produce detailed monthly reporting packs and present findings to senior stakeholders.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, supporting strategic business planning.
• Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
• Support audit requirements and regulatory reporting obligations.
• Review and approve key financial transactions and expenditure.
• Manage, mentor and develop junior finance team members.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting, controls and efficiency.

This is a broad and commercially focused role where you'll take ownership of the management accounts process, provide meaningful financial insight to senior stakeholders, and play a key role in driving business performance.

You'll be responsible for leading month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities, managing a small team, and partnering with operational leaders to ensure robust financial control and informed decision-making.

The Role

About You

• ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong management accounting experience within a commercial environment.
• Proven experience producing management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Experience analysing large volumes of financial data and turning insights into actionable recommendations.
• A solid understanding of financial controls, reconciliations and audit processes.
• Previous experience managing or supervising finance team members.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis.
• The confidence to challenge, influence and build relationships with stakeholders across the business.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
