Job summary

Cold Harbour Nursery in Bletchley is seeking a Part-Time Lunchtime Assistant with a Level 2/3 Early Years qualification to join our friendly team.

This 20-hour-per-week role runs Monday to Friday, 11:00–15:00, all year round, and focuses on creating a calm, safe and enjoyable lunchtime for the children.

You will work as part of a supportive team, help with mealtime routines, and contribute to our outdoor learning and Forest School activities when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 Early Years Qualification (Level 2/3 preferred).
• Experience with outdoor learning and creative play is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support children during lunchtime and mealtime routines.
• Maintain a calm, safe, and enjoyable mealtime environment.
• Work as part of a friendly team to support daily nursery operations.

We are looking for a Part-Time Lunchtime Assistant to join our friendly team at Cold Harbour Nursery.

About Cold Harbour Nursery

Our day nursery is adjoined to an outdoor learning centre that builds on our popular Forest School provision and reputation for Forest School training.One of our key priorities is outdoor play and learning, which is clearly evident at Cold Harbour, where the outdoor environment and play area are available to the children all day, every day.

The nursery offers full and part-time care for up to 62 children from the age of four months to four years, and are open from 7.30am to 6.15pm, Monday to Friday, all year round.

The team strive to make the nursery a place where positive and close relationships with children and parents are welcomed and valued. They believe it is important to create a home from home experience where children feel happy, safe and secure, and as a result, thrive within our nursery.

Our Nature Kindergartenhosts outdoor playschemes, bushcraft and forest school sessions, all year round. With an additional16 term-time places available.

About the Role

As a Lunchtime Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting children during the middle of their day, helping to create a calm, safe and enjoyable mealtime experience.

Working hours:

• 20 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• Approximately 11:00–15:00 each day
• All year round
