Job summary

Acorn Early Years Foundation’s Cold Harbour Nursery in Bletchley, near Milton Keynes, is hiring a Part-Time Lunchtime Assistant. The role runs 11:00–15:00, Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week, to support children during lunch and create a calm, safe mealtime experience.

Applicants should have a Level 2/3 Early Years qualification, be enthusiastic about outdoor learning, and enjoy working as part of a team. DBS and Right to Work checks are required before starting.

We are looking for a Part-Time Lunchtime Assistant to join our friendly team at Cold Harbour Nursery.

About Cold Harbour Nursery

Our day nursery is adjoined to an outdoor learning centre that builds on our popular Forest School provision and reputation for Forest School training.One of our key priorities is outdoor play and learning, which is clearly evident at Cold Harbour, where the outdoor environment and play area are available to the children all day, every day.

The nursery offers full and part-time care for up to 62 children from the age of four months to four years, and are open from 7.30am to 6.15pm, Monday to Friday, all year round.

The team strive to make the nursery a place where positive and close relationships with children and parents are welcomed and valued. They believe it is important to create a home from home experience where children feel happy, safe and secure, and as a result, thrive within our nursery.

Our Nature Kindergartenhosts outdoor playschemes, bushcraft and forest school sessions, all year round. With an additional16 term-time places available.

About the Role

As a Lunchtime Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting children during the middle of their day, helping to create a calm, safe and enjoyable mealtime experience.

Working hours:

• 20 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• Approximately 11:00–15:00 each day
• All year round
