Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a passionate English teacher to inspire a love of language and literature in pupils across Key Stages in a Plymouth school.

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it (ECTs welcome).

  • Works collaboratively and contributes positively to team and school life.

Responsibilities

  • Create a purposeful classroom environment with high-quality displays that celebrate learning.
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of learning and departmental initiatives.
  • Promote literacy, critical thinking, and creativity through an inclusive and inspiring approach.
  • Play an active role as a Form Tutor, supporting the academic and emotional wellbeing of your tutor group.
  • Participate in whole-school CPD, school events, and enrichment activities.
