Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Group is seeking a Qualified Early Years Teacher to join Townsend Montessori Nursery Margate. The successful candidate will create a caring, stimulating environment for children and deliver EYFS-aligned play-based activities.

Holders of QTS will join a team committed to safeguarding and high-quality early education. This role is based on site in Margate with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Must hold the relevant Early Years Qualification - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• All roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks, satisfactory references, and verification of your right to work in the UK.
• We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, nurturing environment where children thrive.
• Plan and deliver engaging EYFS play-based activities.
• Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
• Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
• Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.
