Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Tressillian Road in Brockley, Lewisham seeks a Qualified Early Years Teacher to join our nursery team. You will plan and deliver EYFS-aligned, play-based activities and support early learning with a nurturing, inclusive approach.

We value development, teamwork, and family partnership, offering childcare perks, training through The National College, and wellbeing support. Salary reflects £15.88–£18.88/hour (£33,030–£39,270 per year) with a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Hold Level 3 Early Years Qualification - QTS.
• Experience as a Qualified Early Years Teacher or Senior Early Years Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
• Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
• Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.

To be considered for this role, you must hold the relevant Level 3 Early Years Qualification - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) along with previous experience working in a Qualified Early Years Teacher or Senior Early Years Practitioner role.

Pay:£15.88 - £18.88 per hour /£33,030 - £39,270 per Annum.based on experience (40 hours per week).
Working Hours:40 hours Monday - Friday 8 hour shifts between 07:30 -18:00

About our Nursery

The Old Station Nursery Tressillian Road is set in a beautiful period property in the Victorian Suburb of Brockley. The nursery was fully refurbished in 2024 and offers five bright and spacious rooms divided by age group. All have been designed to focus on development through play and exploration, with first-class resources to support our children. Outside is a large outdoor space where children can play and explore activities, learning about sustainable growing practices and our environmental impact. Located on Tressillian Road within easy access from the A20 and near to Brockley and Lewisham Train Station. Parking is available outside for the team.
