Job summary

Bright Horizons Kings Hill Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking a flexible practitioner to join our Bright Flex / Bank team in West Malling, Kent. You will support EYFS delivery, engage children in learning through play, and help with daily tasks while enjoying the security and benefits of being an employee.

As part of a committed team, you will use your Level 3+ Early Years qualification to nurture children and contribute to a safe, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Experience working with children in nursery settings (Nursery Practitioner/ Early Years Educator).
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection principles.

Responsibilities

• Support EYFS delivery through engaging activities.
• Encourage development toward milestones and learning through play.
• Assist with day-to-day tasks such as tidying rooms and preparing activities.
• Work as part of a larger team to ensure smooth nursery operations.

Nursery – Bright Horizons Kings Hill Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary – £13.50 - £15.88 per hour (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

The Role

Working as part of our Bright Flex / Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee – giving you the best of both worlds!

Within this role, you will support colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones. You will also work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed, such as room tidying and preparation.

What We’re Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
• Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
