Job summary

Bright Horizons Banstead Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking a flexible practitioner to join our Bright Flex/Bank team in Banstead, Surrey. You will support delivery of EYFS through engaging activities and collaborate with the team to complete daily tasks and room preparations.

This role offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development and flexible shift options. Basic level of Early Years qualification required, with DBS checks in place.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 2 or above Early Years qualification.
• Experience working with children in nursery/early years settings.
• Ability to support and engage children through EYFS activities.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the EYFS through engaging, educational activities.
• Work as part of a larger team to complete day-to-day tasks such as room tidying and preparation.

We’re looking for a flexible working practitioner to join our Bright Flex / Bank team at our Banstead Nursery, situated in Banstead, Surrey.

This nursery offers a fantastic, purpose-built nursery with specialist rooms designed for each developmental stage. Situated just off the A217, and within walking distance of Banstead village, the nursery has ample parking.

The Role

Working as part of our Bright Flex / Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee – giving you the best of both worlds!

Within this role, you will support colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones. You will also work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed, such as room tidying and preparation.

What We’re Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 2 or above Early Years qualification
• Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
