Job summary

Bright Horizons Great Cornard Day Nursery & Pre-School is seeking a flexible Nursery Practitioner to join our Bright Flex / Bank team. You will support colleagues in delivering the EYFS through engaging and educational activities, helping children reach key milestones.

The nursery is rated Good by Ofsted, offers on-site parking and a range of benefits including childcare discounts, enhanced parental leave, pension, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Relevant Level 3+ Early Years qualification is required.
• Experience working with children in nursery settings.
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with children and adults.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of child protection.
• Flexible and adaptable to a busy nursery environment.

We’re looking for a flexible working practitioner to join our Bright Flex / Bank team at our Great Cornard nursery. Bright Horizons Great Cornard, rated "Good" by Ofsted, is a purpose‑built nursery with on‑site parking available. The nursery is spacious and filled with natural light, featuring a large outdoor area. Conveniently located in Great Cornard, it offers excellent transport links from the surrounding areas.

The Role

Working as part of our Bright Flex / Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee – giving you the best of both worlds! Within this role, you will support colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones. You will also work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed, such as room tidying and preparation.

What We’re Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
• Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
