Job summary

Arriva Cymru Limited is looking for a Qualified Coach Driver to operate the Bangor to Aberystwyth service from our Bangor depot. You will drive professionally, ensuring safety and a high level of customer service on every journey.

The role is a permanent contract, 38 hours per week, on a 5 days out of 7 pattern, including weekends. You must hold a PCV Category D licence, Driver CPC, Tachocard, and have a solid understanding of tachographs and drivers' hours rules.

Qualifications

• PCV Category D licence is essential.
• Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card required.
• Own Tachocard required.
• Good knowledge of tachographs and drivers' hours regulations.
• Experience driving passenger vehicles (buses/coaches) preferred.
• Commitment to safe and responsible driving.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to work 38 hours per week, 5 days out of 7.
• Comfort with some manual lifting of luggage.

Responsibilities

• Safely and professionally drive the Bangor to Aberystwyth route.
• Work 38 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (weekends and bank holidays included).
• Complete vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Comply with road safety requirements, company procedures and transport laws.
• Use Tachocard correctly and follow tachograph regulations.
• Provide a welcoming, professional, customer-focused service.
• Assist customers with queries and support during journeys.
• Assist with loading/unloading luggage as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle environment and work with colleagues.
