Job summary

Arriva London is seeking responsible bus drivers to join our team in London. You'll drive buses, ensuring safe, reliable service and helping passengers with a friendly, professional approach.

Applicants must hold a valid PCV Category D licence, be at least 18, and have no more than 6 penalty points. Flexible shifts, ongoing CPC training, and a competitive benefits package are offered.

Pay & Overtime

0–12 Months Experience

• £16.06 – £20.00 per hour

12 Months–3 Years' Experience

• £16.41 – £20.51 per hour

3+ years' experience

• £17.66 – £22.07 per hour

Already experienced?

If you've held a PCV licence and worked as a bus driver for at least 12 months within the last 4 years, you'll join on our 2nd–3rd year pay rate.

Working Pattern

You’ll work a rotating pattern of 5 days on, 2 days off, with shifts planned 6–8 weeks in advance, helping you plan your life outside of work.

Typical Shift Start Times Include

• Mornings from 4:00am
• Afternoons from 12:00pm
• Evenings from 6:00pm

Regular overtime is available, depending on business needs.

Please note: Fixed shifts (such as permanent mornings or evenings) are not available.

What You'll Need

To join Arriva London you'll need:

• A valid PCV Category D licence
• To be aged 18 or over
• No more than 6 penalty points
• A current Licence for London, if you've worked for another London bus operator within the last six months
• To pass a drug and alcohol screening
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
