Arriva London North Limited in London’s Edmonton Garage is seeking an experienced PCV bus driver to serve commuters and visitors, delivering safe, reliable journeys and helping the community stay connected.

Training around three weeks at Wood Green depot, then mentoring; rotating shifts 5 days out of 7, early mornings 04:00, middays and evenings; pay rates £15.40–£21.25 per hour with overtime premium and rewards.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and have held a driving licence for at least 6 months.
• PCV licence required for experienced Bus Drivers.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests.
• Excellent people and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work shifting patterns.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and reliable bus services to passengers.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist riders.
• Adhere to shift rotations and timetable expectations.
• Complete training and CPC ongoing development.

Bus Driver £15.40 - £21.25 per hour

Pay Rate

• £15.40 - £21.25 per hour
• Experienced PCV Bus Drivers / After Training: First 12 months - £15.40 per hour, increasing to £19.25 per hour after 9pm
• 12-24 months - £15.80 per hour, increasing to £19.75 per hour after 9pm
• 24 months + will be £17.00 per hour, increasing to £21.25 per hour after 9pm
• If you are a PCV holder with more than 12 months experience within the last 4 years, you will start on 12-24m rate. Pay rates reviewed via frequent pay negotiations.

Hours of Work

• 5 out of 7 rotating shift patterns, planned up to 6-8 weeks in advance so you can plan around shifts.
• Mornings starting from 04:00, Afternoons start from 12:00 and Evenings from 18:00 on a rotational basis.
• We cannot offer fixed early, afternoon or evenings separately.
• Overtime available at request / availability.

Requirements

• Must be over 18 years of age
• Have been driving with your licence for a minimum of 6 months (for Trainees)
• PCV licence (for experienced Bus Drivers)
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• Can pass a drug and alcohol test
