• Experience using IRIS, Sage, KashFlow, QuickBooks or Xero is essential.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Preparation & Taxation
• Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and limited companies using IRIS or similar software
• Maintain a good understanding of VAT and monthly and quarterly accounting procedures for owner-managed businesses
• Complete self-assessment and corporation tax returns using IRIS or similar software
• Work with accounting software including Sage 50, KashFlow, QuickBooks and Xero.
• Support clients in adopting digital accounting technology and accessing real-time management information to support informed business decisions.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as required within the practice.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice or similar environment (Essential)
• Good technical knowledge of accounts preparation, VAT and taxation
• Experience using accounting software such as IRIS, Sage, KashFlow, QuickBooks or Xero (Essential)
• Excellent communication skills and a client focused approach
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Confidence managing your own workload and priorities
• Ability to support and coach less experienced team members
• A proactive, enthusiastic and team-oriented approach

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CTA
• AAT Qualified or qualified by experience candidates will also be considered
