Job summary

Blue Arrow is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join the Swansea/Cardigan based practice onsite. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of practice experience and ACA/ACCA/CTA qualifications, with AAT considered for experienced candidates.

You will manage year-end accounts, VAT, and CT returns, using IRIS/Sage/QB/Xero, and will mentor junior team members. The position offers a supportive environment with clear progression, competitive salary, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in an accountancy practice or similar environment.
• Good technical knowledge of accounts preparation, VAT and taxation.
• Experience using accounting software such as IRIS, Sage, KashFlow, QuickBooks or Xero (Essential).
• Excellent communication skills and a client focused approach.
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Confidence managing your own workload and priorities.
• Ability to support and coach less experienced team members.
• A proactive, enthusiastic and team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and limited companies using IRIS or similar software.
• Maintain a good understanding of VAT and monthly and quarterly accounting procedures for owner-managed businesses.
• Complete self-assessment and corporation tax returns using IRIS or similar software.
• Work with accounting software including Sage 50, KashFlow, QuickBooks and Xero.
• Support clients in adopting digital accounting technology and accessing real-time management information to support informed business decisions.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as required within the practice.
