Job summary

Exeter College is seeking a Quad Scout to support the Housekeeping team at the Iffley Road site. You will clean and maintain external areas, move furniture, and deliver cleaning materials to colleagues. This hands-on role suits someone active with a can-do attitude and strong teamwork, able to work independently or with others.

The post is 20 hours per week, mornings Monday to Friday. The pay is £14.06 per hour, approx.

The Quad Scout will provide a general resource that supports the work of the Housekeeping team at the Iffley Road site. They will be personally responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the external areas of the site, and will also play a key role in providing practical support wherever it’s needed (e.g. moving furniture around the site, delivering cleaning materials and equipment to other members of the team, etc).

This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are quite the same. It would suit someone who enjoys being active, taking pride in their surroundings, and getting things done. You’ll need a ‘can-do’ attitude and a professional manner, together with strong interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently as well as being part of a team. A background in Housekeeping or Facilities (ideally within a residential student environment) would be an advantage.

The post is for 20 hours per week, normally worked during the mornings on Monday to Friday each week.

The rate of pay is £14.06 per hour, which equates to approximately £14,622 per annum. In addition to salary, the College offers a range of benefits including a generous annual leave allowance, and contributory pension scheme.
