Balliol College in Oxford is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Scout to uphold high cleanliness standards across offices, teaching rooms and communal areas. You will clean daily, dispose of waste, and service study bedrooms weekly, reporting issues to the Head Housekeeper.
The role requires physical fitness, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy college environment. It is a permanent position for 30 hours per week with a 4‑month probation and 1‑month notice.

Housekeeping
Our team of Housekeeping Scouts are responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the College, providing cleaning and associated tasks as directed. They are observant, thorough, have good time management, and are able to multitask.
Responsible to the Head Housekeeper.
Job description
The Housekeepers are expected to let the Head Housekeeper know if they have any concerns about the welfare of any students resident in their area of responsibility.
Housekeepers are required to report any breaches of College rules to the Head Housekeeper or Team Leaders.
Housekeepers are to report any damage to College property and report any Maintenance issues to the Maintenance Manager.
