Job summary

PlanetRecruitment is seeking a dedicated cleaner for a full-time, permanent role in Cambridge. You will clean and prepare student bedrooms, guest accommodation, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard, make beds and prep rooms for arrivals, and maintain offices and public spaces in line with schedules.

The role requires good English, attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate has previous cleaning or housekeeping experience in hotel, college or similar environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a positive, professional attitude.
• Good spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare student bedrooms, guest accommodation, bathrooms and communal areas to an exceptional standard.
• Make beds and prepare rooms for arriving students, conference delegates and guests.
• Maintain offices, stairways, corridors and public spaces in accordance with cleaning schedules.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and ensure stock levels are maintained.
• Use cleaning materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Report maintenance issues, damages and health & safety concerns promptly.
• Carry out daily housekeeping duties in line with College procedures and quality standards.
• Provide cover for colleagues during periods of annual leave or sickness where required.
• Work across different College sites when necessary.
• Attend training sessions and team meetings to support ongoing development.
• Ensure all duties are completed in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH and manual handling procedures.

Salary: GBP26000 - GBP26500 per annum

Hours of Work

• Full-time position.
• 37.5 hours per week.
• Shifts between 6:30am and 4:00pm.
• Working 5 days out of 7, including occasional weekends.
• Overtime opportunities may be available.
