Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming primary school in Chelmsford seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor on a day-to-day basis, with both full-time and part-time options. You will deliver pre-planned lessons during PPA cover, support pupils across all year groups, and maintain excellent classroom behaviour to ensure continuous learning in the temporary absence of the teacher.

Ideal candidates will have primary school experience, strong behaviour management, and excellent communication.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Cover Supervisor on a Day-2-Day basis, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. The successful Cover Supervisor will be responsible for delivering planned lessons during PPA cover, supporting pupils across all year groups, maintaining excellent classroom behaviour, and ensuring learning continues in the absence of the class teacher.

The successful primary teacher will have:

• Experience working within a Primary School setting
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons across all year groups
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A positive and proactive attitude
• The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
